Here’s a real-world example from Trust Insights’ backyard: a local car dealership. We examined the generic sales scripts that people often use in car sales and asked, how could using an ICP improve these? With the right ingredients – good data and a solid psychographic ICP – it’s straightforward to take a sales script from good to great. Instead of generic platitudes, this dealership’s sales scripts narrowed down exactly what a buyer would be interested in.
Take a look at the starting script, which was ineffective:
There’s such a lack of specificity here, nothing that would set apart this sales professional from any other at their dealership, or any other dealership.
We used generative AI to ingest data about this particular vehicle and the ICP for this specific vehicle (also created with generative AI), and had generative AI tailor the script to the ICP.
